Virtual Volunteering with Hospice is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make an impact in their community but needs to remain at home.
We offer lots of Virtual opportunities to benefit patients, their families, and our team:
Administrative work: Stuff envelopes and brochures that we provide to our families and the community. Handwrite cards.
Phone calls: Call our patients and their families to inquire how their care is going and if they need any supplies. Call the families of our patients after they have passed to offer bereavement support; check-in and see how they are doing since their loss. Call our current patients to prevent social isolation.
Crafting: Sew bears and pillows made out of our patients clothing as a keepsake for their family. Create special projects like ornaments or photo collages. Help in annual craft projects needed to support our Children's bereavement camp. (Crafters require minimal training only)
Training to become a Virtual Volunteer is virtual and go at your own pace. Volunteer hours are flexible as you set your schedule- decide how long, when, and where you want to Volunteer.
Please inquire to learn more about Volunteering with us!
