About Us
DELIGHT. Present a carefully curated repertoire of beautiful music representing both classical and more modern eras with artistic excellence for the enjoyment of diverse and discerning audiences.
INFORM. J.S Bach's legacy includes not only his own compositions, but those of thousands of musicians in virtually all genres who were and are influenced by his work. Thus our mission includes introducing our patrons to an extensive and diverse range of classically inspired music. Many of our programs are accompanied by lectures giving insight into the origin, history and significance of the works performed. We regularly feature the music of under-represented composers, including women and people of color. Our school-based music education programs, which are designed to capture and cultivate the next generation of classical music patrons, currently reach over 5,500 elementary and middle school students. We plan to increase that number by 50% in 2022-2023.
INSPIRE. Every season includes music that addresses oppression and other issues of social justice. Our intent is to present current and historic events in ways that our patrons may not have experienced previously.
