Connect Me Tutoring is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free, online, 1 on 1 tutoring to underprivileged K-8 students.
As of August 2023, our team of 300+ college & high school volunteers have provided over 25,000 free tutoring sessions to over 1000 students in 33 states & 8 countries. We are one of the largest free tutoring platforms in the US, & are completely student-run.
Our organization is looking for a Reporter who has experience with writing, graphic design and Instagram. Our Reporter will be responsible for writing news stories on major events occurring in Connect Me. They will also design Instagram posts highlighting major events within the nonprofit. You will gain valuable experience and service hours (if needed)!

Description
Connect Me is a free online tutoring organization that pairs high school and college students with underprivileged students for free, 1 on 1, online tutoring. You can earn service hours from the comfort of your own home! As a tutor, YOU choose what days of the week and hours you work, and YOU choose the subjects you tutor in! We're very flexible about scheduling, and can accomodate anyone, whether you want to work one hour or five hours per week!
We also have leadership positions available on a rolling basis, meaning, once you hit certain criteria, you are eligible to apply and can work all the way up to the Executive Board! Hard work, passion, and creativity are praised at Connect Me!
Connect Me has been featured on Fox News, USA Today, WNTC, and other news stations as a rapidly growing, yet 100% student-run nonprofit! Join today as a tutor and you can start teaching!
NOTE: Tutors must have a minimum of a 3.7 GPA and must pass an interview before being accepted onto the team.
