Duties & Responsibilities:
- Familiarize yourself with It’s A Military Life mission, vision, and goals to help the organization grow
- Complete training for It’s a Military Life as this will be the primary focus.
- Provide support to board by providing resources for each of the board members in regards to finance operations and controls
- Strategy and Finance Advising
- Data Collection and Analysis
- Create financial goals for the organization in collaboration with the treasurer
- Aid with fundraising
- Review database entries for relevant to projects and tasks
- Prepare presentations and notes as directed by the CEO related to finance team updates regarding controls and operations, and audit consultation
- Check email at least 3 times a week and respond accordingly.
- Meet with the Treasurer for 15 minutes each week to go over update via Google Chat or video conference, which will then be shared with the board
- Must provide an end of week review to the CEO outlining all tasks completed for the week.
- Maintain a positive image of the organization at all times.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Treasurer, which includes creating solutions for any issues the nonprofit is facing and overall needs of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Able to work a minimum of 5 hours per week
- Must be detail-oriented, task-driven, and have great time management skills
- Must have strong Google Workspace experience
- Prior finance team consultation or related experiences preferred
- A passion for the program, military and helping others
