Times Up! Environmental Organization has a long history of planning events and volunteer green-ups in New York City's community gardens. This year, we are focusing on supporting three local community gardens in the East Village of Manhattan. All of these workdays and events happen on the weekends, mostly Saturdays. Must have some organizing skills and be willing to promote the events as well. on volunteer days, you will be responsible to show up half an hour early, communicate with project managers about the projects of the day, and set people up with tools and equipment to complete their projects. You don't need that much garden experience, and you will be trained on how each community garden functions.

Mission Statement
TIME'S UP! educates people about the environmental impacts of everyday purchases. We focus on transportation issues in New York City and have been instrumental in involving cyclists and skaters in large, mobile actions.
Description
TIME'S UP! is a grassroots environmental group that has been working on environmental issues for 27 years. Educational outreach and direct action are the two most important aspects of TIME'S UP! We hold more than 100 free outdoor and indoor events each year. Our campaigns range from saving community gardens to promoting non-polluting transportation. In 2012, Time's Up! partnered with the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (Morus) in lower east side of Manhattan, which archives the history of the community and gardens, advocating community engagement and sustainable urban design.
