Looking for fitness and health knowledgeable volunteers to lead and/or assist with the following program. The program is typically held 2-3 times a year and for various ages (toddler, school age, teen, adult) for 10-15 weeks depending on the session. The program is typically held on Saturday mornings. We provide the training needed to be successful in leading the program. Most training is completed online.
GiGiFIT is a fitness and health program written specifically for individuals with Down syndrome.
Our FREE GiGiFIT programs combine activities with a strong fitness focus and an ultimate goal of success and improved movement designed by a physical therapist. GiGiFIT was created in collaboration with skilled Physical Therapists who work specifically with individuals with Down syndrome. The GiGiFIT programs are designed to address common issues for individuals with Down syndrome including hypotonia, excessive joint laxity, and decreased balance. Every GiGiFIT program is safe, effective, and progressive. GiGiFIT helps participants build strength, endurance, power, joint stability, balance, and movement control. GiGiFIT empowers participants to be more independent and confident in their abilities while improving their overall health and wellness.

GiGi's Playhouses are a series of Down syndrome achievement centers throughout the United States and Mexico offering no-cost educational, therapeutic and career developmental programming to individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community.
