Located along the beautiful Cumberland Mountains, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park stretches across three states: Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia. With over 85 miles of hiking trails, historical sites, overlooks, camping, and guided tours, Cumberland Gap provides opportunities for visitors of all ages and abilities.


Cumberland Gap National Historical Park is seeking dedicated volunteers with experience in photography, videography, and digital media. Practice your skill with a camera while also h elping provide the park with professional, high-quality visual media content that helps tell the story of the Cumberland Gap!


Any digital content produced by the volunteer through this position may be used for the park's social media page, website, educational programs, training materials, and/or promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and pamphlets.

It should be noted that, upon signing the Volunteer Service Agreement, all photographs, videos, recordings, media, and any other content produced by the volunteer through his/her volunteer duties will become the property of the United States, and as such, will be in the public domain and not subject to copyright laws.


The volunteer must provide his or her own camera and photography equipment, as well as any editing software needed to produce and submit media content to park staff. Transportation to and from assignments is the responsibility of the volunteer and is not provided by the park.


Please note: There is NO park housing/RV pads available for this position.
