Spiritual Support Volunteers provide much needed spiritual and emotional support for hospice patients and their families as they are navigating a difficult and emotional time of their lives.
Spiritual support volunteers visit patients in their homes or facilities. And times and days for visits are flexible and work around the schedule of the volunteer and the patient and their family.
Spiritual support volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Visiting someone and offering companionship and emotional support
- Listening and discussing patient's faith background and religious beliefs.
- Praying with patients as desired
- Reading sacred scriptures, devotions and writings with patients and their families as desired
- Walking with a patient and their family through their hospice journey and helping them to find their anchor in their faith.
We are looking for spiritual support volunteers from all religious and faith backgrounds.

Description
Stoneridge hospice has been in existence since the spring of 2020. Stoneridge is a small business and a family business that has thrived and grown and has a true family feel. The hospice team seek to go above and beyond in providing a compassionate, human touch for their patients, families as well as our staff and their own families. Despite their proximity to death and dying, Stoneridge hospice team members often smile and laugh and offer encouragement and support in abundance.
