Bereavement Support Volunteers are needed to help those who have lost loved ones for the first year after a patient's death. You can work either from home, in our office or in the homes of our patient's and their families.

Some opportunities include:

  • Making phone calls on the bereaved to check in on them and offer them emotional support.
  • Leading or assisting with a grief support group in the community
  • Visiting with patients and/or their families both before and after the patient has died so that loved ones don't feel alone or abandoned as they walk their journey of grief.
If you have any experience as a social worker, a counselor, a pastor, a chaplain or if you have been a Stephen Minsiter, led a griefshare group or any other type of a grief support group, we would love to have you.

If you do not have training don't worry, we can also train you.
