Did you know that roughly 40% of students at two-and-four year institutions in the US experience food insecurity and 14% experience homelessness? These issue has been further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Grub Hub at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado works to support students who may be struggling with these issues by providing wrap-around services like resource navigation, food assistance, and housing support. The Basic Needs Case Manager will bring a trauma-informed lens to this work, helping coordinate services and expand programming to better support clients.
