Would you like to help combat hunger in Dakota County?

olunteers are needed to help pick up donated food items (AKA Rescue Food) from local retail grocers in Burnsville and then deliver them to 360 Communities Food Shelf in Burnsville. Using our small, refrigerated van, you can feed hundreds of families each week.

Volunteers should:

  • Have a clean driving record and ability to drive a small van short distances
  • Be able to lift up to 40lbs
  • Be willing to volunteer weekly. Time commitment may vary from week to week depending on the quantity of food being donated by the retailer. Average time commitment is 1-2 hours per pick up.
  • Be willing to learn about food safety. Training will be provided on food safety, temperature zones, and proper handling
  • Have an attention to detail. Donations must be weighed and tracked.

This position is an excellent way to spend a few morning hours helping those in need and meet great people!

About 1,000 volunteers donate their time, energy and talent in support of 360 Communities every year.
