Volunteer opportunities include.
Volunteering to donate blood at Vitalant is one important way to join our lifesaving team, but we also offer other volunteer opportunities that make a difference in your community. Volunteer opportunities at Vitalant vary by region, but the impact is the same-your actions save lives by helping patients get the blood they need.

As a Vitalant volunteer on this day your role would be:

• • Registering donors at a check-in station
  • Thanking our donors in the donor canteen area
  • Restocking snacks, and refreshments as needed
  • Handing out promotional gifts.

  Please note: We can work with your schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Orientation and Training
• No court-ordered community service allowed.

Every day in the U.S., patients in hospitals, surgical centers and emergency treatment facilities need approximately:

• 29,000 units of red blood cells
• 5,000 units of platelets
• 6,500 units of plasma
