What does it take to become a hospice volunteer? Start with a kind heart, good listening skills and compassion. Our volunteers offer the gift of friendship, listening to patients’ life stories, reading aloud, playing cards, or comforting patients sitting bedside holding their hands. Often a volunteer provides companionship and support when family members are not available to visit.

Hospice is about giving comfort and hope and improving quality of life during an individual's last months of life. If you have a heart full of compassion, we would love to speak with you about sharing the gift of your time with some of our patients!

Volunteers create their own flexible schedule to meet your busy lifestyle.
