Second Start offers free and confidential learning support for adults. Adult learners meet one-on-one with volunteer tutors, who help our program participants reach their literacy goals. We have opportunities for tutoring in reading and writing, ESOL, computer help, and form-filling. We have orientation and training that can be completed online, and are here to support you through your volunteer commitment. Thank you for considering volunteering with Oakland Public Library's Literacy Program.
