Pet Peace of Mind- Keeping Pets and People Together During Hospice Care. The goal of Pet Peace of Mind is to provide our patients with the assurance that we understand the role of their pet in contributing to their emotional and spiritual wellbeing. The purpose of this program is to recognize the importance and the active support of keeping pets together with their patients during their time in hospice care. You will be visiting with patients that have pets in the home and help assist with any needs of the pet to help the patient such as changing litter boxes, refilling food bowls, walking the dog, help with getting the pet to the vet or groomer. Professional groomers needed as volunteers would be great. There will be training along with caring for hospice patients overall.
