About Our Organization: Our non-profit organization promotes basketball-focused and technology-access programs for underserved youth, especially within minority communities. Our upcoming basketball-focused technology access program is set to launch in Las Vegas, NV, in January 2024 and will be considered a significant milestone in our journey.

Opportunity Overview: We seek a passionate Volunteer as a Non-Profit Grant Writer to join our team. This role will require researching, identifying, and securing funding opportunities in alignment with our vision and values.

The right candidate will have experience in non-profit capacity-building

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, identify, and match funding resources to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Use your experience with non-profit capacity-building to influence and enhance our fundraising strategies.
  • Partner with our Social Media Marketing and Google Ads Manager to ensure cohesiveness in fundraising and marketing strategies.
  • Draft and submit compelling, articulate, and well-written grant proposals.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of grants, including detailed records of applications, outcomes, and reporting requirements.
  • Ongoing communication with potential backers, including responding to inquiries and providing updates.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with grant writing and fundraising in the nonprofit sector.
  • Solid background in non-profit capacity-building.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of grant application processes and funding guidelines.
  • Familiarity with basic marketing channels and SEO strategies.
  • Experience in a team-oriented work environment.
