Read 2 Lead is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fundraising Coordinator to lead our fundraising efforts and contribute to the growth and sustainability of our organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and securing funding to support our literacy and community-building initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Fundraising Strategy:

    • Collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership team to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Read 2 Lead's mission and objectives.
    • Identify diverse fundraising channels, including grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donations, and fundraising events.
  2. Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors, communicating the impact of their contributions and ensuring their continued engagement.
    • Develop personalized donor cultivation plans and stewardship strategies to enhance donor retention and satisfaction.
  3. Grant Writing and Proposals:

    • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with Read 2 Lead's programs and initiatives.
    • Prepare and submit compelling grant proposals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with funders' requirements.
  4. Fundraising Events:

    • Organize and coordinate fundraising events to raise awareness and funds for Read 2 Lead's projects.
    • Manage event logistics, sponsorship, and outreach to maximize fundraising outcomes.
  5. Financial Reporting:

    • Work closely with the finance team to track and report fundraising revenue, expenses, and progress towards fundraising goals.
    • Prepare regular reports for the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
  6. Community Engagement:

    • Collaborate with the community outreach team to engage and involve local communities in fundraising efforts.
    • Develop creative and impactful community-based fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fundraising, preferably in a non-profit organization with a focus on education, literacy, or community development.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage donors and stakeholders effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, capable of handling multiple fundraising initiatives simultaneously.
  • Grant writing experience and familiarity with various funding sources and grant application processes.
  • Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and reporting related to fundraising activities.
  • Passion for literacy, education, and community empowerment.
