Parent’s Café is a peer support program for parents to talk with other parents/caregivers about the joys/challenges of raising children. The Parent’s Café offers a time for families to connect with each other, build relationships, hear other people's struggles and stories, and offer support to others in a safe space. Childcare volunteers are needed to care for children while the parents meet. Volunteers will:

  • Look after and care for the children’s safety while the parents attend the café, age range infants up to 14 years old
  • Lead activities or play games to entertain the kids
  • Communicate to parents if a child needs a diaper change or help in the bathroom, volunteers will not do any toileting
  • Provide a bottle or snacks

Volunteer to child ratio will depend upon the age range of the children and the comfort level of the volunteers. Parent/teen volunteer teams are welcome to volunteer as long as the parent is participating the full time.

When: The first and/or third Tuesday of the month 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. starting September 2023
