Create lasting memories for a patient's family by making a thumbprint pendant or hand photo. You can also help the patient write about their lives, create a scrapbook or write a letter to their loved ones. There are many options.
You'll get training as a hospice volunteer, and then meet a patient or two that would like your help to create good art for posterity's sake.
For more information, contact CJ Pharr, Volunteer Coordinator at HealthONE Hospice, 719-268-2582 or cesslie.ladehoffpharr@hcahealthcare.com
You must pass a drug screen, background check, TB test, complete orientation (at your own pace) and mentor with me while you meet patients and make art with hospice patients.
