Grant Research and Applications
ORGANIZATION: Johnstown Historical Society, Ltd.
Please visit the new page to apply.
Hours and hours of preliminary work are required before an application for a grant is submitted. Help is needed for research, documentation, and grant writing. You are especially needed if you have a background in this area and have the time to devote to this process. Grants are needed for various projects and operations, and the more of them we can apply for and receive, the better we will be able to provide the public with a quality museum and programs.

Mission Statement
The Johnstown Historical Society enriches our community through the preservation, interpretation, and dissemination of collected local culture.
Description
The Johnstown Historical Society was founded in 1988 to educate the public about Johnstown's unique history and preserve it for future generations. JHS manages the Historic Parish House and Museum at 701 Charlotte Street in Johnstown, Colorado. We have an awesome group of dedicated volunteers and are always looking for new ones to join our teams that perform a variety of tasks to help us with the museum and several great fundraising events each year.
A few of our events are the annual and very well attended Stitches in Time Quilt and Craft Fair, our History and Mystery Cemetery Crawl, and Holiday open house. We're also expanding our open days at the museum and are currently seeking a few volunteer docents. We have other volunteer opportunities as well. We'd love to hear from you!
