Are you passionate about yoga or meditation? Would you like to bring that passion to a small group to help increase their quality of life?
At The Iris Network we have a small assisted living facility which services people with vision impairments, such as blindness, who are also unable to live independently. We want to increase our recreational activities offered. We ask for 1 hour every two weeks. If you want to volunteer more, we welcome that too!
All volunteers must be located in the New England area. We do not offer visa sponsorship for work or volunteer opportunities.

Helping people who are visually impaired or blind attain independence and community integration.
Description
Established in 1905, The Iris Network has been helping Maine's visually impaired community learn independent living skills through work of Vision Rehabilitation Therapists. At our main location we have an assisted living facility as well as the Training Center. The Training Center is to help people transitioning into independent life through 10-20 week programs which teach braille, cooking, knife skills, activity of daily living skills, basic home maintenance and pre-vocational skills such as resume writing, interviewing and assistive technologies.
