Mission Statement
Solstice sanctuary is a healing farm for animals and humans. The sanctuary specializes in providing a safe landing for animals who have found themselves unwanted or discarded. We utilize alternative therapies, animal assisted healing sessions, along with community outreach programs to aid with human empowerment. The sanctuary allows people to work with the animals as they are rehabbing and healing while the people themselves heal.
Description
The Sanctuary has rescued and rehabilitated 25 animals since our start in 2021. We have worked alongside Heartland Community farms to host healing sessions for 7 children who experience feelings of depression and suicide.
We hosted multiple programs with local school districts, law enforcement and Girl Scout Troops to help educate in the subjects of animal welfar e, animal handling and basic animal care.
We have aspirations to work with children who have been victims of child trafficking.
