ORGANIZATION: Fargo VA Health Care System

In this new, flexible volunteer position, you will have the opportunity to serve our nation's heroes by assisting VA staff in keeping the Fargo VA's pharmacy at peak performance.

Veterans depend on our pharmacy to be organized and well-stocked to handle inpatient and outpatient needs as well as medications that are shipped via mail.

In this role, volunteers will assist with the following tasks:

-Organizing and shelving medication orders
-Assisting with medication inventories
-Returning medications to stock
-Auditing for medication outdates
-Sorting correspondence
-Filing documents and assisting with clerical duties
-Other duties to support the successful operation of the VA pharmacy

We are currently seeking volunteers for the following days:
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday

Volunteer shifts are 4 hours long and between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
Start and end times are TBD based on volunteer and pharmacy needs.

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • One 4-hour shift per week between pharmacy hours (0800 - 1600).
  • Per policy, all VA volunteers must complete a background check, and undergo a tuberculosis test before volunteer placement is made.
