Highland Hospital 2017

The Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Response and Recovery Team at Highland Hospital offers volunteer opportunities to provide care and support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, including hotline counseling, medical and legal accompaniment, community education, facilitating peer support groups, and administrative work.

- Volunteers are required to complete a 65-hour California rape crisis and domestic violence certification program. This training is offered at Highland Hospital every September and October.

- Volunteers are also required to complete the standard volunteer intake process which includes 4-hour orientation, health screening and background screening.

- This opportunity requires volunteers to commit eight hours per month for a minimum of one year.
