Become a Cat Care Team Volunteer at Ohio Alleycat Resource & Clinic. The number one priority at OAR is keeping cats safe, healthy and happy! This would not be possible without amazing Cat Care volunteers. Cat Care Team Volunteers ensure cats have the best care while at the Adoption Center. They provide food, water and a clean environment that is also welcoming to our adopters.
Responsibilities include:
● Replenish food and refresh water
● Scoop litter and switch out newspaper under litter boxes
● Sweep and mop floors cat rooms with Rescue
● Clean the cat shelves, windows and window ledges with Rescue
● Wash dishes and disinfect litter boxes
● Refill Rescue bottles, wash and fold laundry, remove trash, prepare cardboard litter boxes and disinfect carriers
Time Commitment
2 hours on a weekly shift

Description
RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is an AmeriCorps Senior program with VANTAGE Aging. We connect volunteers age 55 and older with opportunities to serve their community. As the largest volunteer network for older adults in the nation, RSVP matches volunteers with organizations where their time, interest, talents, knowledge, and experience are most effectively utilized to meet important needs in our community. Our main objectives are to help in these fields;
- Nutrition & Food Support
- Elderly Companionship
- Adult Education and Employment
- Other Community Priorities
As a RSVP volunteer, you would receive:
- Nationally counted and recognized volunteer hours
- Additional free liability insurance while volunteering
- Free recognition events, incentives, and opportunities to socialize with other RSVP volunteers
- Free in-person and/or virtual trainings
