Pamoja International Voluntary Sevices offers short and medium term programs for volunteers/interns
If a qualified Nurse or Doctor depending on the field of specialty, you will be placed
in several or one department(s) at the hospital - clinical medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, emergency medicine and critical care, general surgery, E.N.T, ophthalmology and radiology. This will help you to understand real life exposure and integrating theoretical knowledge. Specific/general duties may be given by the supervising doctors and consultants to enable you draw and understanding of diverse aspects relating to care of patients such as relevant history taking in various body systems, physical examination, relevant laboratory investigations and their interpretation, arriving at pertinent diagnosis and appropriate treatment measures but this will depend on the experience and knowledge.
The volunteer will be working in Government hospitals in rural areas.
His/her duties wil include assisting doctors, feeding/washing/ administering medicine, offering counseling to patients, assist in administrative work et.c.
Para medics are also welcomed, also students doing medicine.
Knowledge of English is compulsory.

Work is 8 hours a day, weekends are free. Accommodation and meals is at a selected host family, transport from Nairobi to the location is by public transport, Airport pick up is provided.

PROGRAMS WE HAVE International Work Camps Medium term volunteering Internship Program
Ativities range from water-tank construction, construction of schools, hospitals, farming, harvesting among others. Also we hold workshops, cultural festival, outings/visits entertainment and experiencing the rural setup or way of life
