Calling all horse lovers!
Mustang Valley Sanctuary, a mustang rescue organization in NY, is seeking volunteers to join our herd!
Do you have a passion for mustangs and skills in not-for-profit administration and promotion?
We need your help with:
- Grant writing: Helping us secure funding to continue our important work. Please have experience with U.S. grant writing for not for profits. Experience identifying/sourcing grant opportunties also welcome.
- Fund raising: If you have successful experience with fundraising for 501 (C) 3 organizations, please reach out. Experience could include campaign design, fundraising events, cold calling, etc.
Please note that we welcome all skill sets and accomodate many different situations but we are unable to provide "employment letters" or full time hours. We are specifically looking for direct experience and the ability to work independently in grant writing and/or fundraising. We are not able to train for this role.

Rescue and give a safe place for unhandled mustangs.
Description
We rescue mustangs and other horses from unhealthy situations. Our program aims at rehabilitating and finding forever homes for the horses that are a good fit for domestication. Those that may not be a good fit can spend their days roaming our 137 acre sanctuary. We do an EAL program we created called MAL(Mustang Assisted Learning) with Veterans and other at risk populations
