Volunteer Opportunity: Help Us Bring Joy to Local Kids

Position: Community Outreach & Sponsorship Coordinator (Volunteer)
Organization: Orange County Recreation and Education Collective (OCREC)
Location: Remote (some local knowledge of Orange County is helpful)
Time Commitment: Approximately 3-5 hours per week (flexible)

The Orange County Recreation and Education Collective (OCREC) creates enriching, inclusive events for children of all abilities - from playful learning activities to community-building recreational experiences for both neurotypical and neurodiverse children.

We believe every child deserves joy, connection, and opportunity - and we need your help to make that possible.

We’re seeking a friendly and community-minded volunteer to help us connect with local businesses and community sponsors who can support our mission with financial donations.

These donations will help cover:

• Event planning and coordination
  
  

• Educational and recreational supplies
  
  

• Website and outreach tools
  
  

• Ongoing development of accessible programming
  
  

• Reach out to local businesses, family-focused brands, and service providers
  
  

• Share our mission and invite them to become sponsors or partners
  
  

• Help us build a list of community supporters for future events
  
  

• College students studying marketing, nonprofit management, or communications
  
  

• Retired professionals who enjoy building connections and giving back
  
  

• Parents, advocates, or individuals passionate about inclusive community programming
  
  

• Anyone who wants to make a difference through outreach and relationship-building
  
  

We’ll provide training, sample email templates, and ongoing support.
