If you are someone that LOVES to celebrate birthdays and want to use your special skills, we have the opportunity for you! Compassionate Hospice is looking for birthday volunteers.

Birthday Volunteers are responsible for:

  • Hand writing birthday cards
  • Assembling bouquets or balloons
  • Delivering gifts to patients in their assisted living facility or home

No experience is required, just a willing and compassionate heart. Time commitment would be 1-4 hours per month, or more if you are available. These hours count towards volunteer requirements for educational, professional, or legal purposes. Volunteers must be vaccinated against COVID and pass a background check.

Description

Compassionate Hospice Care is looking for dedicated volunteers who desire to provide companionship and comfort to those receiving hospice care and offer tangible support to those caring for them.

No experience is necessary. Volunteers are provided with an interesting and practical orientation. Essential characteristics of an effective volunteer include compassion, dependability, trustworthiness, patience and flexibility.

If you have recently experienced the death of a loved one, you may serve administratively in our office but need to wait 13 months post your loss to serve as a companion to patients.
