Now in its fifth year, Down for the Challenge is a powerful fundraising event that supports The Salvation Army’s efforts to combat homelessness and housing insecurity. Proceeds help fund vital services such as emergency shelter, rent assistance, food programs, and compassionate care for individuals and families facing crisis. Every rappel-and every volunteer effort - plays a role in restoring hope and stability to those who need it most.
Friday, July 25- VIP Night featuring Celebrity Rappelling (2:30-9:00 PM)
Play a vital role in bringing the following experiences to life:
- Assist with Registration and Swag Distribution
- Support VIP Rappelling
- Vikings Legends Meet & Greet and Autograph Signings
- VIP Party with Dinner
- Silent Auction and Raffle
- Vendor Booths from The Salvation Army & Local Partners
You’ll be helping guests and fans have the time of their lives-all while supporting an amazing cause!

Description
The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services. We are Here to Help!
