We are looking for volunteers to support the GMHC meal service program. You will do a variety of tasks, as assigned by the volunteer manager. This may include serving the meal from behind the line (cafeteria style), assisting clients with mobility issues, bussing tables and/or general clean-up at the end of the service.
The shift available:
- Every Week or Every Other Week on Wednesday.
- 11:00am to 2:00pm is ideal but we may be able to offer a shorter shift within that time frame.
- Minimum of 3-4 months commitment.
Prior to being confirmed, the following steps will need to be completed:
- Attend a zoom GMHC volunteer orientation.
- Complete the volunteer application and pledge of confidentiality.
- Complete a background check. This does require providing your SSN to the online background check system.
All positions will take place onsite at 307 West 38th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue.
This opportunity is for individuals 18+ years old.
