Spending time with our patients who are terminally ill, and being present for them as companions and building a relationship. We are not asking you to perform any medical care. We are for companionship and friendship only. There are many ways to help, like reading a book, watching TV, taking them for a view in their wheel chair, crafting at a facility or with things they have at home. There are a lot of possibilities that can be done when we put our minds to making the day of someone that is lonely a little better.
Please at least let us meet and you decide that you can offer. If you need credit for school, we will provide the hours for you when they are entered after a visit. We do community service hours as well, however, there is a screening we perform for all volunteers before we get you started. We do not have COVID restrictions currently be will provide you with masks and other PPE as needed.

Provide dignified family centered care and end of life comfort for our patients with an individual touch. We advocate on behalf of our patients to ensure their comfort and final wishes are being granted. We strive to connect with all of our patients and provide personalized physical, mental and spiritual care.
Providing care and comfort to patients. Opportunities include direct patient visitation and administrative support. We provide feedback to schools for volunteer credit. We provide internships for those in nursing and social work. Travel will be limited, with the exception of internships, which may be only to visit different sites. Our goal is to provide companionship as well as socialization to those who express desire to have a volunteer visit. Our scope of activities may be limitless, we help with light housekeeping, running errands, helping with activities, quiet time to reflect and hear life experiences.
