Are you a "crafty" person at heart who enjoys being creative and working with others to make crafts? Or do you enjoy making special creations at home - such as quilts or crocheted caps - that would bless our patients? Do you have compassion and good conversational skills? Do you enjoy activities that are meaningful and fulfilling? If so, you'll really like serving as a HOSPICE CRAFTS VOLUNTEER! Below are just some of the fun activities you can enjoy with your assigned patients --
-- Conduct craft activities depending upon your talents, or create at-home items for our patients and deliver them to each patient.
-- Conduct one-on-one craft activities for home-based patients.
-- Document your visits on a Volunteer Visit Note and turn them in to the Volunteer Coordinator.
-- Attend in-services and annual memorial services.
-- Be recognized at our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner!
-- Practice infection control and universal precautions to ensure the safety of the patient.
-- Live the PLUS* Standards in the care of patients, tasks, and interactions with others.
Thanks so much for your interest - we look forward to talking with you soon!
*PLUS Standards include: Performance, Leadership, Understanding, and Service.
