Whether it is a family member, friend, or self, addiction is a horrible disease that seemingly touches everyone. At Waukesha County Department of Health and Human Services, we aim to find solutions, provide treatment, and prevent overdoses. We are looking for a passionate volunteer to support these efforts.
This volunteer will assemble overdose awareness kits and naloxone training kits. We need approximately 100-200 OAKs completed monthly, plus naloxone training materials. In addition, volunteers may assist with prepping other educational materials or handouts or other miscellaneous tasks related to addiction education, prevention, and support.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in learning more about these programs or who has a passion for the world of recovery.
This position is extremely flexible- looking for about 1-2 daytime hours per week, Monday through Friday. You pick the day and days.
