Volunteers are needed to work with the public library on our toy distribution and circulation program. These volunteers will go to the library 1-2 times per week to check the toys that have been returned to the library. They will check to make sure no toys are missing or broken, and to clean toys as needed so they can be checked out again by another family.
We are additionally in need of volunteers to host donation events for families to come bring their toys to donate to the library.
We also need volunteers to help create the toy catalog. This includes visiting the library to take pictures of the toys, uploading those pictures to the online catalog, printing the catalog and distributing copies to the different branches of the Miami Dade public library.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to increase equity for early developmental play experiences by increasing child access to high-quality, developmentally appropriate toys, and to decrease toy-related waste by sharing toys instead.
Description
Play it Forward is a non-profit whose goal is to partner with community organizations (specifically the public libraries in South Florida) to establish toy libraries in locations easily accessible to families with young children, with toys available to rent for free. Inventory will include specific adaptive toys for children with various physical, cognitive, developmental, and social-emotional delays, and inclusive toys to provide diverse representation and expose all children to diverse abilities, cultures, races, languages, etc. In collaboration with the Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS), we are working to establish a toy library network where families can easily access and check out developmentally appropriate toys for infants, preschool and elementary age children for free.
