As a foster-based rescue, we can only take in as many dogs as we have open fosters. We provide everything you need - food, toys, crates, etc. and take care of all vetting, posting for adoption, and are always available to help our fosters It is an incredibly rewarding experience to help these animals, we are partnered with several shelters to help lessen the load and get dogs out of the high stress environment of the shelter and one step closer to their forever home!

If you have other dogs, cats, small children, or no pets at all - we are happy to have you on our team! Fostering is a great opportunity for all ages!
When you foster, you save TWO lives - the dog you welcome into your home and the dog you made space for in the overcrowded shelters!

Description
The Pet Knot was forged to combine efforts of like-minded rescues and volunteers humbly striving to make a dent in the urgent pet over-population crisis. Our talents and strategies promote animal adoptions through online, in-store, and boutique-like options for adopters. All animals receive the highest level of medical care and grooming. Animals also receive appropriate adjustment time and basic social skills in foster homes in preparation for a new home environment. We help all animals including seniors, special needs, and those seemingly 'unadoptable' cases and work diligently to place each in the most appropriate permanent home possible no matter how long it takes. We call ourselves The Pet Knot because not only do we connect people with pets, we keep people with pets.

- Flexible, most foster opportunities are a minimum of 2 weeks.
- We require a signed foster agreement and home check (virtual available) prior to placement. Ability to transport your foster to/from adoption events and vet appointments is preferred, but not required.
