We work with students from K-5th grade, living in our city's most underserved communities. Our focuses are mentoring and education. We seek to build relationships with the students and encourage them to discover their purpose and potential. We also help them in their reading, so they can thrive in school and go on to colleges and careers. Over the summer, we focus on reading and math.
In this role, as a summer student mentor, you will work with elementary students on basic math and reading lessons. You will also have the opportunity to play games with them and get to know them more. Our Program runs Monday-Thursday from 3:00pm-5:00pm. We ask volunteers to arrive around 2:30pm, to prepare for the day!

Description
Club Christ is a faith-based non-profit that specializes in tutoring and mentoring at-risk youth. We seek to invest in students through mentoring and leadership development, equip them through literacy intervention and tutoring, and launch them onto their college and career path. Currently we are reaching over 100 students in our city!
We have volunteer openings at our four Centers, conveniently located all across town. Opportunities are available with lower and upper elementary, as well as with teens. The Centers are open Monday-Friday from 2:15-5 or 5:30 pm.

Please contact Annie Quastad if you are interested in volunteering. We accept volunteers who are 16 and older to help with our tutoring program. We would love to have you join us in impacting the lives of so many kids and their families!
