Best Buddies Citizens creates one-to-one friendships between adults with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). These opportunities for friendship and inclusion are especially important for adults with IDD who often have limited opportunities for social connections as they age.

We are seeking peer buddies (individuals without IDD) who are interested in being matched in a 1:1 friendship with an adult with IDD. Matches are made based on shared common interests, similar age range, and live in close proximity to each other.

Commitment:
- get together in person for a minimum of four hours per month
- maintain weekly contact (phone, email, social media, etc)
- participants commit to at least one year of friendship

There is no cost for participating in the Best Buddies Citizens Program.
