Purpose:

This programme aims at connecting the wonderful women in our sewing group with fashion and modeling passionate and lovers to help with fashion design, modeling, photographing, marketing, etc

Opportunity to:

The rationale:

Sewing for Hope is a project designed to help women become proficient seamstresses. Many of the youth that are learning were not able to finish school and/or are teen mothers. We also work with widows and other women that want to learn a skill to support their families. We are in need of people to help the women think outside the box in fashion design, modeling, and marketing. Currently they make clothing items and sell them at the various markets around the area. There is often a shortage of fabric so coming up with materials can be a challenge. They would also benefit from an online store if we could get some help setting it up. They are anxious to learn and develop their craft. We are also looking for help with photography on both sides of the lens. Men, women, and kids that are willing to model, or someone that can help them learn best how to photograph their goods and sell them online.
