Purpose:

Opportunity for volunteers to work with villagers and help them access to information, knowledge skills and resources to invest in Climate Smart Farming.

Opportunity to:

• Work with local farmers on the land or with their livestock, or help on a school farm.
• Support schools towards school feeding programmes
• Experience the beauty of Rwanda,
• Step outside of your comfort zone and meet other volunteers that are passionate about conservation and giving back.
• Submerse yourself in the local culture, art, and lifestyle.

The rationale:

Rwanda is largely an agricultural economy, especially up in the north where we are centered. Farming is done on small plots of land and on steep step mountainsides. The volcanic soil is fertile and almost everything grows. Come and work with local farmers. You can do agriculture or work with livestock. We also would like to start a school farm that would provide food, shade, and firewood to local school children. Come and put your expertise to work. We would love to learn from you. If you don't have vast knowledge on the subject, that is also fine, we can still put you to work. You will love Rwanda and it's people. They are hard working and utilize every bit of land that the small country has. Come visit the hidden gem of Africa!
