Let's put an END to VIOLENCE and ABUSE!

We will be doing fundraising for our 501C3 non-profit, by selling fireworks! No experience needed, we will train you. Our non-profit is dedicated to helping stop violence toward people, especially women and children. Your volunteering helps us to continue our outreach efforts to families in need, women's shelters and to the community! You may receive a FREE firework as a token of appreciation for your volunteer services!

We have 3 locations, Lilburn, Doraville and Loganville!

You are welcome to bring snacks, lunch, dinner or beverages! Cooler provided and water!

Mission Statement

Locally and nationally, UPLIFTING HEARTS, MINDS & SOULS (HUMS) is a vocal advocate for women who have been victimized, survivors of violence, whether domestic or otherwise, abused, sexual assaulted or raped. Our goal is to make a difference in their lives. Although we are specifically targeting female survivors of violence, we still provide resources and help for children and men as well. We aim to eventually supply temporary housing and shelter for women and their children. We currently provide resources for shelters, counseling, ministry, therapy in several forms: tradition, drama, art, music etc. Our goal is to have centers that will house all of those types of programs and in addition have a resource center, self defense trainings, relationships classes, community seminars and preventive measures workshops. We are dedicated and committed to assist in the healing process for women, children and men and the prevention of such crimes against them.

Description

HUMS-UPLIFTING HEARTS, MINDS and SOULS has devoted its energy to passionately advocating in the fight against violence. We are a non-profit that provides a variety of help to individuals, especially women and children. We offer educational events, self-defense training, resource literature, speaking engagements, a variety of workshops, ministry, referrals, support groups, counseling, and body guard referrals too as well as provide connections for people to get help through shelters and other organizations until our shelters are operational and much more! We reach out to caring people like yourself, across this nation to help us reach our goals, objectives and efforts to provide help to those in need. We’ve had a TV show that we will be starting again soon and currently do a radio too, both designed to give a voice to survivors as well as educate the public. Our fundraising efforts, and the donations and contributions given, helps us reach our goals to open our safe-houses, shelters, healing centers, and also continue to provide workshops, support groups, resources and materials to those in need.
