The Ossining Food Pantry delivers bags of pre-packed fresh and shelf-stable foods to The Ossining Children's Center for parents to pick up. We need volunteers to load the bags of food into vehicles and deliver them to the agencies' lobby.

Schedule: The first and third Thursday of the month from 8-8:30 a.m.

Mission Statement

The Ossining Food Pantry, founded in 1988, is 100% staffed by volunteers. Our mission is to help eliminate food insecurity in our community. We serve people in need from Ossining, Briarcliff Manor, and Scarborough.

Description

Today we help approximately 350 families each week through a range of services including Choice Pantry food distributions, deliveries to homebound clients and agencies, and a Mobile Food Pantry, cosponsored with Star of Bethlehem Church and Feeding Westchester.

  • Must be at least 18

  • Volunteers must be able to carry bags weighing 25 pounds. This opportunity requires a drivers license and the use of a personal vehicle.
