Working indoors to pack bags with shelf-stable food (for later distribution to clients). Bags may be heavy and weigh upwards of 25 pounds.
Schedule: Alternate Tuesdays from 2:00-3:30 p.m.

Mission Statement
The Ossining Food Pantry, founded in 1988, is 100% staffed by volunteers. Our mission is to help eliminate food insecurity in our community. We serve people in need from Ossining, Briarcliff Manor, and Scarborough.
Description
Today we help approximately 350 families each week through a range of services including Choice Pantry food distributions, deliveries to homebound clients and agencies, and a Mobile Food Pantry, cosponsored with Star of Bethlehem Church and Feeding Westchester.

- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 16
- Time commitment: 1.5 hours twice a month.
- The food donation bags can become heavy (~25 lbs.). Volunteers should be able to lift -and carry a short distance - heavy grocery bag full of groceries.
