Next Care is recruiting volunteers to offer companionship to patients. It is a unique opportunity for retirees, homemakers, students, or anyone who has a heart to serve those facing end of life.
There are many areas in which our volunteers serve: Administrative, direct patient care, social media, legacy projects, or assist with a particular discipline (nursing, social work, spiritual care), etc. We will describe in depth what each volunteer area entails and you may give us your preference. No prior experience necessary.
We request that all volunteers be at least 18 years of age and have not suffered a loss in the last year to be compliant with Medicare rules and regulations. We will be doing a background check before orientation. We ask that all volunteers agree to offer at least one hour a week.
Thank you in advance for considering hospice as a place to volunteer your time. We find that our volunteers receive just as much joy as our patients do!
