The American Red Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania needs special volunteers to deliver blood products to hospitals and provide the vital link between blood donors and patients who need blood products.
If helping hospital patients who need blood and blood products during their battle back to good health is of interest to you, join us for a virtual "lunch and learn" on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 12 - 12:30 p.m. This free introductory discussion will be hosted over Zoom and allow potential volunteers to learn more about the position and ask questions. Volunteers in the blood transportation specialist position have two important assignments - to transport blood from our blood collection sites throughout the Greater Pennsylvania region to our lab in Ashley for testing and processing, and to deliver blood products to hospitals in the area using a Red Cross-owned vehicle.
