ORGANIZATION: Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Become a member of the on-board train crew on our heritage railway western Massachusetts. Train ride experiences include ice cream trains, live music trains, historic tour trains, and holiday themed trains (Easter, Halloween, Christmas). Opportunities available to participate during any or all of the four seasons our train experiences operate.

All training is provided by the museum and no prior railroad experience is required!

Join us as a Car Host or Coach Attendant and greet & seat passengers, punch the tickets and engage in light conversation with our guests.

After a brief introductory period, candidates who wish to continue volunteering are required to become museum members for insurance purposes.

A progression of volunteer opportunities exist for promotion to higher level train operating positions including trainman, locomotive engineer and conductor.

Those with prior railroad experience will be evaluated and on-boarded to an appropriate railroad position with the museum.

Our goal through this recruitment is to engage volunteers who will regularly participate for one or more operational seasons.
