About the Organization: IWRC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities and resources to adults seeking to improve their English language skills. Our mission is to empower individuals by enhancing their communication abilities and opening doors to new opportunities. We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team of virtual English tutors, working remotely from anywhere in the world.

Job Description: As a virtual English tutor for adults, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals seeking to improve their English language proficiency. You will provide one-on-one tutoring sessions via video conferencing platforms to adult learners, tailoring your instruction to meet their specific needs and goals. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting virtual English tutoring sessions for adult learners on a regular basis.
  • Assisting learners in improving their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Providing constructive feedback and guidance to learners to help them progress in their language acquisition journey.
  • Incorporating interactive and engaging teaching techniques to make learning enjoyable.
  • Monitoring learners' progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborating with other tutors and sharing best practices to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintaining accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner progress.

Qualifications:

  • Native or near-native English proficiency.
  • Previous experience in teaching or tutoring English as a second language to adults is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others succeed.
  • Reliable internet connection and access to a computer or laptop with video conferencing capabilities.
  • Ability to commit to a flexible schedule and accommodate learners' availability across different time zones.
  • Proficiency in using online teaching tools and platforms.
