The National Scleroderma Foundation is launching a Steppiung Out toCure Scleroderma Walk in the DC-M-V area on September 27, 2025. Volunteers are needed to join the planning committee, make phone calls, and help the day of the walk at Franconia Park, in Alexandria, VA.
We are also recruiting for volunteers interested in becoming support group leaders. We offer training.

To advance medical research, promote disease awareness, and provide support and education to people with scleroderma, their loved ones and their support network.
Description
Scleroderma is a chronic connective tissue disease that involves the hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues. The results can be disfiguring and disability, and for some it can be life-threatening.
Advocacy, Research and Education are our pillars. Our walks and third party events support our mission. We need additional volunteers.

- Volunteers can help plan the event from securing sponsorships, getting basket donations, making phone calls. The committee will meet on-line once a month.
