Opportunity Title: In Kind Donation Transport

Opportunity Description: We are looking for volunteers to assist us with the transport of menstrual pads from a community partner holding a donation drive to support our clients. Transport will be from location near the Naval Observatory to our downtown DC office.

A valid driver's license registered and insured in the driver’s name and access to a personal vehicle will be required of all volunteers for these opportunities.

Department/Individuals Assisting Ayuda’s Social Services Team

Responsible to: Our Volunteer Coordinator, Connor Paul

Responsibilities:

  • Transporting menstrual pads from community partner donation drive to our DC office
  • Loading pads into vehicle to transporting in
  • Unloading pads from vehicle transporting in at our DC office

Opportunity Requirements:

  • Required:
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Access to a personal vehicle that is registered and insured
    • Strong cross-cultural communication abilities
    • Being a team player
    • Positivity and enthusiasm for our work
  • Preferred:
    • Bilingual abilities with a preference for fluency in Spanish
    • Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 10 lbs.

Commitment:

  • Volunteers will need to meet us at the pick up on Wednesday, June 7th at 2 PM

Technology Needed: No technology is needed to assist with this opportunity other than a personal vehicle.
