Recruiting Organization: Second Chance Initiative

Second Chance Initiative is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating jobs for women in recovery who are transitioning back into the workforce after overcoming adversities such as addiction, trauma, depression and homelessness.

We're looking for volunteers to come into our office and work directly with our women.

In this capacity, you will be helping us to build a warm and supportive environment while fostering a sense of belonging. Plus you'll have fun!

How It Works

Team members make products, like mugs and jewelry, that we sell online through our social enterprise, an e-commerce shop hosted on Etsy. This enables us to self-fund a portion of our program while giving our program participants relevant and marketable work experience.

You'll be working alongside our women to get our products out to our customers. It's a fun, high-energy opportunity---especially during peak sales seasons like Mother's Day, graduation, and Father's Day!

If you have additional skills, such as photography experience, graphic art, administration, or a desire to mentor women, we would love to hear about it. We're currently building out our volunteer program and ask that all volunteers start working in the office to learn more about our program and the women we serve.
